RPG Maker MV/MZ: Custom Actor Commands
Custom Actor Commands plugin lets you replace the normal "Attack" and "Guard" commands with custom skills of your own choice. You may even add additional skill commands if you choose to do so as the game designer.
Weapon, Armor and Class Configuration parameters allow you to specify which weapon, armor or class modifies attack/guard skill and/or provides additional skill commands.
Additionally, the command window help is optional for providing your players with more information about each actor skill command via skill description and/or symbol setup.
Let's run through the setup quickly.
- Name: Does nothing.
- Weapon/Armor/Class: Identifies the database ID to use.
- Attack Modifier: Skill to replace attack with. Set 0 to use default.
- Attack Priority (Weapon/Armor Only): States priority to give over which equipment sets the attack if multiple equipment can modify attack.
- Guard Modifier: Skill to replace guard with. Set 0 for default.
- Guard Priority (Weapon/Armor Only): States priority to give over which equipment sets the guard if multiple equipment can modify guard.
- Skill Command Added: Select skills to be added as actor commands.
Very simple setup for actor window command configuration.
The custom help window has a dimension configuration which lets the designer set location and size of the window and a window style modifier to personalize window graphics.
After modifying the window itself, we can then modify what help information we want showing when we select non-skill commands such as "items" from the actor command list.
In the above, if the current actor window command symbol is "item" the text in "Description" will show in the window.
