Default growth can be set for equipment:

  • Name does nothing.
  • Actor is the actor the equipment mastery setup applies to.
  • Default growth will allow for use of default parameter growth only (1 per equipment level for a max level of 100 and a requirement of 100 EXP per level)

  • Name serves no purpose.
  • Weapon/Armor Type ID is the Database Type ID from the Database Types tab.
  • Growth Configuration refers to how EXP and levels are granted.
  • Stat configuration refers to stats granted per level.
  • Skill configuration refers to the skills granted at or above that equipment type level.

  • Growth formula is the EXP formula used to calculate max EXP per level.
  • Max level is the maximum level of the equipment type
  • Battle, Attack, Defend, Skill and Item Growth Rate affect the EXP granted by those actions.

After setting up equipment masteries for each actor, go to the status option in your game's main menu, select the actor and go to the status scene. 

On the status scene, press the 'Right' key and the masteries scene will open:


As for v1.6, you can setup skills to be permanently learnt via  equipment and by extension you can setup skills to permanently learn. You can access the skill mastery list by pressing "Right" on the skill scene with the skill type menu active.

First, if you whether you obtain skills via the equipment mastery level or not will not matter if you setup the skill growth configuration for it. First select growth configuration.

The parameters above will setup the growth information for the Sword weapon. To setup skill mastery, we want to select the option Skill Growth Rate.

Here we will see the Skill mastery parameter with configurable child parameters:

  • Max Mastery, is the max skill level mastery.
  • Mastery Rate is the formula used to determine the max EXP per level.
  • Max Mastery learn will permanently attach the skill to the skill list once mastered.
  • Mastery Weapon/Armor Type is the required weapon types for mastered skill to appear in skill list.
