I wonder if this would work with the 3D plugin to make it isometric.
Is there a way of using rpg maker mv's default battle system on random encounters on a map that is not set as a TBS map?
I am able to have a default battle when I event it but I noticed that the random encounters stop when using this plugin.
1) This is for RPG maker MZ
2) Yes, don't use the note tag <Battle Map: number> (Please see sample project for setup example)
Random encounters should work just fine if the note tag is not used, can you upload a video of what's going on?

yes but I need to get to writing a patch that auto spawns captured enemies on map
could you add the option to run a common event before and after we teleport to the battle maps?
Just set an event to auto and then finish it with an erase event. You can use traps as event triggers as well
According to your website explanation of the TBS, it seems when an attack or skill is used on an enemy it goes to the default sideview battle scene to do it. Is there any way you could make that a toggleable option? And then have another option where it just shows an animation and a damage/state popup on the map itself like how most of the other TBS's do?
This would give more variety and option to the TBS battles for those who like the Fire Emblem way of doing it and those who like the FFT way of doing it.
It does do that.
In the plugin parameters, just go to the "Battle Defaults" section and set "Action On Map" to map.
You can also specify if you want skills to use the battle scene.
